## What is MovieHunt?

MovieHunt is a free web app that instantly picks a random movie or TV show for you based on your preferences. It uses The Movie Database (TMDB) as its data source and covers tens of thousands of titles across all genres and eras.

## Core Features (Free)

- **Random movie picker** — one click picks a random movie from TMDB
- **Random TV show picker** — switch to TV mode to discover series
- **Genre filter** — Action, Animation, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi, Thriller
- **Era filter** — Classic pre-1970, 70s–80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, Recent 2020+ (requires sign-in)
- **Daily Pick** — one curated movie and one TV show pick per day from TMDB top-rated content
- **Bookmarks** — save up to 3 titles as a guest, 10 as a free account
- **Watched list** — mark titles as watched (requires sign-in)
- **Trailer links** — links to YouTube trailers for each result
- **TMDB reviews** — user reviews fetched directly from TMDB
- **Share** — share any result via Web Share API or copy link
